{sun}glasses

Sunglasses are a must during Summer. The number one factor of wearing them is to protect your eyes from UV damage....after that, they purely are a fashion statement !

So, in saying that, sunglasses are just as important as a handbag and shoes in the accessory stakes. With all the different styles and colours of sunglasses out there here are some guidelines to help narrow the choice. A good rule of thumb: go for a frame that is the opposite of your face shape.

Square Face - slightly curved frames with the top high enough on the face to downplay the jaw line. Try aviator or wrap styles.

Round Face - straight or angular frames in a deep colour such as black or tortoiseshell flatter facial features. For a good fit, try square-framed sunglasses.

Triangular Face - thin rims and vertical lines will complement this face. Sleek oval frames with coloured lenses also look becoming.

Oblong Face - similar to the square face with a little more length, this face shape looks best with a frame that covers as much of the centre of the face as possible. Avoid large frames, heavy nose bridges, bold colours and square shapes.

Oval Face - suits most styles of sunglasses, however always remember to pick frames in proportion to the size of your face.

TIP:
Oversize frames balance out a large nose, while short noses suit sunglasses with a high bridge and a light colour. A double bridge and frames with high sidebars complement long noses.
